Getting Started Issues

Account and Authentication

Problem: Email Verification Not Received

Solutions:

  1. Check Spam/Junk Folders: Verification emails often filtered as spam
  2. Verify Email Address: Ensure correct email address was entered
  3. Request New Verification: Use "Resend Verification" option if available

Problem: Password Reset Not Working

Solutions:

  1. Check Email Folders: Look in spam, promotions, and junk folders
  2. Try Different Browser: Clear cache or use incognito/private mode
  3. Contact Support: For account recovery assistance mail at contact@prode.ai

Problem: Login Failures

Solutions:

  1. Verify Credentials: Double-check email and password combination
  2. Password Reset: Use password reset if uncertain about password
  3. Browser Issues: Clear cache, cookies, or try different browser

Git Integration Issues

Connection Problems

Problem: Git Provider Connection Fails

Solutions:

  1. Re-authorize Provider: Disconnect and reconnect Git provider
  2. Check Permissions: Verify account has access to repositories
  3. Organization Access: Ensure organization access granted if needed

Problem: Repositories Not Visible

Solutions:

  1. Refresh Repository List: Use refresh function to update list
  2. Check Repository Permissions: Verify access to specific repositories
  3. Workspace/Organization/Group Access: Ensure proper workspace, organization, or group connections
  4. Repository Type: Confirm repositories contain supported languages

Problem: GitLab Connection Issues

Solutions:

  1. OAuth Scopes: Ensure your GitLab OAuth token has read_repository, read_api, and read_user scopes
  2. PAT Permissions: If using a Personal Access Token, verify it has the required scopes
  3. Group Access: Ensure you have access to the GitLab groups you want to connect
  4. Re-authorize: Disconnect and reconnect the GitLab provider

Problem: Azure DevOps Connection Issues

Solutions:

  1. PAT Permissions: Verify your Personal Access Token has Code (Read) and Project and Team (Read) permissions
  2. Organization Name: Double-check the organization name is correct
  3. Token Expiry: Ensure the PAT has not expired
  4. Re-connect: Try disconnecting and reconnecting with a fresh PAT

MCP Integration Issues

Connection Problems

Problem: MCP Integration Not Working

Solutions:

  1. Verify Configuration: Check JSON syntax and file location
  2. Restart Application: Restart coding assistant after configuration
  3. Token Validation: Verify MCP token is correct and current
  4. Network Access: Ensure network allows MCP communication

Problem: Cursor Integration Issues

Solutions:

  1. Configuration File Location: Verify ~/.cursor/mcp.json exists and is readable — see Cursor setup guide
  2. JSON Validation: Check configuration file syntax
  3. Restart Cursor: Close and reopen Cursor completely
  4. Manual vs Deep Link: Try manual configuration if deep link fails

Problem: Github Copilot Integration Issues

Solutions:

  1. Project Configuration: Ensure .vscode/mcp.json in project root — see VS Code setup guide
  2. Reload Window: Use "Developer: Reload Window" in VS Code
  3. Extension Check: Verify GitHub Copilot extension is active
  4. Configuration Validation: Test configuration syntax and token

Problem: Windsurf SSE Issues

Solutions:

  1. Directory Creation: Ensure ~/.codeium/windsurf/ directory exists — see Windsurf setup guide
  2. SSE Support: Verify network supports Server-Sent Events
  3. Firewall Settings: Check firewall allows SSE connections
  4. Restart Agent: Restart Windsurf agent after configuration

Problem: Claude Code Integration Issues

Solutions:

  1. Configuration File: Verify ~/.claude.json exists and contains the correct MCP server configuration — see Claude Code setup guide
  2. JSON Validation: Check configuration file syntax is valid JSON
  3. Token Validation: Verify the MCP token is correct and current
  4. Restart Claude Code: Restart Claude Code after making configuration changes
