Repository Management
Manage repositories, control knowledge layer creation, and understand repository status within ProdE.
Repository Selection Process
Prerequisites:
- Git provider connected
- Workspace(s) or Organization linked
Accessing Repository Management
- Navigation: Go to Select Repositories section in sidebar
- Repository Browser: View all available repositories from connected workspaces / organization and Select repository you want to add into the knowledge layer.
- Create Knowledge Layer : This starts processing of your select repositories and changes the repository status to syncing.
Repository Status
Understanding repository status is crucial for effective management:
Status Types
Active
- Definition: Repository has been successfully added to the knowledge layer
- Functionality: AI answers will include content and context from this repository
Inactive
- Definition: Repository is not selected for the knowledge layer
- Functionality: Repository content is not available for AI queries
Syncing
- Definition: Repository is being processed and added to the knowledge layer
- Duration: Processing time varies based on repository size and complexity
- Completion: Automatically transitions to "Active" when complete
Disconnecting a Repository
- Repository content removed from knowledge layer
- Repository data is maintained for potential reconnection in the future
- Repository syncing stops and no future updates are monitored
